Dougal, the Reading Dog

Meet Dougal 🐾

Dougal is my constant companion.

According to the Maya, you are given a spirit companion according to your birth date. Mine is Ok, which means dog, and so Dougal is truly my spirit animal.

Dougal often appears during my school visits on Zoom. He likes listening to children’s questions and sometimes joins our sessions.

Dougal’s Important Jobs

Adventure Scout
Responsible for spotting exciting places to explore. Particularly skilled at finding viewpoints with excellent sea views.

Pose Officer
Before any expedition can begin, Dougal must carefully inspect the route. This usually involves climbing to the highest point available and staring thoughtfully into the distance.

Food Supervisor
Whenever food appears, Dougal must immediately inspect it to ensure it is safe for human consumption. This often requires sitting very close to the plate and staring intently.

Friendship Inspector
Dougal carefully checks that everyone is suitable friend material. Most inspections take place at tongue level.
